Khalilah Jordan was determine to become an author after she read A Hustler's Wife by Nikki Turner. She would write in her notebook on the train while on her way to work. She wanted to see if she had what it takes to be a best selling author, so she gave it a try with her debut novel, Loyal To The Game, Which sold over 900 copies as a self published author.

Being a self published author wasn't easy for Khalilah. There was a lot of negative people saying that she couldn’t do it. That she would never become an author. Khalilah remember her grandfather saying that she was going to be a superstar, so she took everything that people said to her and used it as motivation. The negativity motivated her to finish  Loyal To The Game. It was very difficult for Khalilah at first. She was on her own finding business deals and bookstores to sale her novel. She didn't have a publishing company behind her pushing Loyal To The Game. So she had to go out and make things happen for herself. As a new author she didn't know a lot about the business so she made a lot of mistakes. Mistakes that would cause her criticism  wish made her lose confident as a writer. Stressed and dealing  with depression Khalilah stopped writing for six months. She found the confident to write once again when she started going through personal issues and knew she had a story to tell.

In Feb 2010 Khalilah starting writing A Dangerous Business. A novel she felt she had to write. She took all her built her anger and emotions and used it as motivation to write a novel that she knew would be a success. Khalilah had time to learn the business and time to fix all mistakes she made with Loyal To The Game. She was now prepared for criticism and the world of success."I just know I'm destine for greatness" Khalilah said."So many people have doubted my success but I'm still standing. I write urban fiction because I feel like there are people in the world going through the same thing my characters in my book is going through. I just want them to know they're not alone. I do feel your pain even tho I might not have the same issues as you. My thoughts and imaginations is a gift from God"  In A Dangerous Business Khalilah really did her homework. Every character a reader will be able to relate to.

Khalilah have really proven to herself that she can do anything she put her mind to. She just have to keep her confident level sky high and don't let the devil try to break her down. When things get rough she just need to put her anger in a story and make a success out of it. All she have to do is trust, believe and have faith and everything will be okay.
